The artworks featured here are framed and hand-woven Chinese silk embroideries from Hunan Province of China. The Four Renowned Embroideries of China are Su Embroidery in Jiangsu, Xiang Embroidery in Hunan, Shu embroidery in Sichuan and Yue Embroidery in Guangdong.
Xiang Embroidery in Hunan is one of the most famous among Chinese embroideries. Using pure silk threads, they are all hand-embroidered with soft and thin rayon and diaphanous materials. Deserving particular mention is the double-faced, double-sided embroidery where the embroidery can be viewed on both sides. These art pieces are uniquely crafted by skilled embroiderers. No two art pieces are exactly the same as they are all hand-woven. With both contemporary themes and traditional oriental themes, these artworks are just perfect for display and decorating your walls.
